Medicare Supplement Plans - Plan M

Part A Deductible

Plan M is almost identical in benefits to Plan D except, unlike Plan D, it only covers 50% of your Medicare Part A deductible. In 2012, the Medicare Part A deductible amount is $1,156. This deductible would affect you when receiving services covered by Medicare Part A including inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, hospice, and certain home health care services. Since only half of the Part A deductible is covered, that would leave you responsible for up to $578 in deductible for Part A services.
