Used of this web site operates with the following assumptions:

• You are a U.S. citizen
• You reside within the United States
• You are either enrolled in Medicare or eligible for Medicare according to government regulations
• You estimated costs do not include any penalty from Medicare due to non-enrollment and a lack of creditable coverage
• You have not yet enrolled in the Extra Help program
• You do not have creditable coverage from a source other than Medicare

Estimated annual costs are assumed to be out-of-pocket expenses we expect you to pay in a calendar year given the plan's monthly premium, annual deductible, and your co-payments (or co-insurance fees) for the specific medications you entered. The estimates are not guaranteed to be accurate and changes in medications would also affect their accuracy. Contact your preferred pharmacy to investigate prices they charge for your medication within the context of a specific Medicare prescription drug plan.

The plans you'll see displayed on the results page are determined by the following process:

• We filter out plans that are not offered for your area
• We prioritize plans that cover medications you entered into the system
• We identify the plan with the lowest estimated annual costs given your medications
• We identify other plans with the lowest annual costs if you indicated that low medication limitations and gap coverage were important to you
• We allow you to compare these results to all plans offered for your area by pressing the "View All Plans" button on the results page
